Who is Scott Harness?

My name is Scott Harness and for the past ten years I have been the lead pastor of ThatChurch.com, a church I started along with my wife Stacey.  ThatChurch.com came out of the gate with six courageous people and after the first meeting four of them left, the others would have left but we were riding in the same car. A few did come back, thank God, and now ten years later we are hosting almost 1000 people every weekend in Sherwood Arkansas (a community of about 18,000).  We also have added two other campuses, one in Conway AR, and the other in Medina, TN (yes it is the city where Rapper Tone-Loc based his song “Funky cold Medina…”)

Our specialty is reaching people who are far from God.  During the past ten years we have seen just over 14,000 people commit their lives to Christ.   ThatChurch.com does not make it a habit of peddling Christianity but introducing people to Christ.  We don’t sell church we are the church and we serve people to gain the right to tell them about Jesus.

I love Jesus.  It is easy to love someone willing to die for me.

I hate long lines, loosing, and little dogs with sweaters.  I guess that is why I like to win people.

I enjoy killing stuff, eating meat, and the UFC.

I dislike in the highest order the way Christ has been misrepresented by religion.

I hate church done poorly. I refuse to be silent and watch it happen.

I hate weak leadership.  Be big for God or go home and let someone else do it. Every time a pastor tells others he can’t do what he is called to do because of some committee, church member, or elder, Satan kills a puppy. Save the puppies be a leader.

I recently started a coaching network for pastors.  It’s sort of pastoral therapy.  I teach them how to reach the lost while helping the saved to get over themselves.  No pomp and circumstance we meet on skype Thursday nights at 7:30PM Central Standard Time.  Email me if you want to join us it’s free.

ScottHarness.com is simply snap shots of me and lots more.  Love to hear your thoughts.
